DAY 01

Airport – Pinnawala – Sigiriya

Meet and welcome by our representative on arrival and proceed to Pinnawala (03 hours)

Visit Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Departure of Wildlife Conservation. It is home to 93 elephants currently and it’s the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Elephant Orphanage is located at Pinnawala village, 13 km northwest of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. The main intention of the Elephant Orphanage is to afford care and protection to many of the orphaned un weaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka.

Transfer from Pinnawala to Sigiriya (03 hours)

Check in to the hotel and later proceed to visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Sigiriya is one of the most famous historic site in Sri Lanka which reflect the richness of skills of Sri Lankan Kings. This is 5th century rock citadel and the palace is built on top of the 200 meters rock. King Kasyapa built his palace and decorated its walls with colorful frescoes which can even be seen today. These frescoes, along with India’s Ajantha cave frescoes are world renowned for lasting through the ages and their awe-inspiring beauty. Not only the frescos but also the Mirror Wall is bring absolutely a great value to Sigiriya. Originally this wall was so highly polished that the king could see himself whilst he walked alongside it. Made of brick masonry and covered in highly polished white plaster, the wall is now partially covered with verses scribbled by visitors, some of them dating from as early as the 8th century. People of all types wrote on the wall, on varying subjects such as love, irony, and experiences of all sorts. Further writing on the mirror wall now has been banned for the protection of the old writings.

DAY 02

Sigiriya – Dambulla – Kandy

Transfer from Sigiriya to Dambulla (15minutes)

Visit Dambulla Cave Temple

The Dambulla Cave Temple is a World Heritage Site and is the largest, preserved cave temple complex in the country. It is believed that King Valahambahu converted these caves into a temple during the 1st century BC. Although there are more than 80 documented caves in the area, the temple itself is spread over five. These caves contain statues and paintings that chronicle Lord Buddha and his life. There are 153 Lord Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan Kings and 4 statues of Gods and goddesses found here. The latter include those of Hindu Gods Vishnu and Ganesh. The murals cover over 2,000 square meters in area. The largest image of Lord Buddha is a carving that spans over 14 meters.

Before the country was brought under the British Rule in 1815, Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lanka Kings. Kandy is famous for its heritage and splendor, this magnificent city was last ruled by the King Sri Wickramarajasinghe. The Temple of Tooth Relic is the most significant highlight of the city along with Kandy Lake, town and other attractions. While stay in Kandy you will be able to visit The arts & Crafts centre and Gem museum. Don’t forget to keep your evening free to witness a Cultural Show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dance

DAY 03

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After the breakfast at hotel, you will visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden which is covers approximately 147 acres and attracts over 02 million visitors annually. It is home to over 4000 species of plants including some of the most beautiful Orchids.

Proceed from Kandy to Nuwaraeliya (03 hours)

Nuwaraeliya is a preferred destination of many tourists because of its incredible cool climate and amazing sceneries. Waterfalls, Tea States, 18-hole golf courses are bringing huge attractions to the city apart from British colonial buildings. You will also be able to see few locations which is famous in Ramayana Legend still providing evidences to its existence long back.

DAY 04

Nuwara Eliya – Kitulgala – Bentota

After breakfast proceed from Nuwaraeliya to Kitulgala (04 hours)

Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. The Academy Award- winning The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge Kitulgala is also a base for white-water rafting, which starts a few kilometers upstream.

Proceed from Kitulgala to Bentota (02hours)

Once you reached to Bentota you can spend rest of the day leisure at a Beach Resort or you can enjoy some Water Sport activities such as Jet-ski ride, Speed Boat Ride, Donut ride etc.

DAY 05

Bentota – Balapitiya – Kosgoda – Colombo

Proceed from Bentota to Balapitiya (30minutes)

Enjoy River Safari

Balapitiya is another beach location however it is mainly famous among the majority of the tourists arriving to Sri Lanka because of Madu River Safari. This is around 01 – 02 hours safari by boat. Madu River has high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance, being home to approximately 303 species of plants belonging to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals.

Proceed from Balapitiya to Kosgoda (20minutes)

Visit a Turtle Hatchery

Kosgoda is a small village located in the west coast of Sri Lanka. It is most popular for its sea turtle hatcheries, operated by the Wildlife Protection Society of Sri Lanka. Here you will feast your eyes upon the amazing site of many species of turtles, especially the endangered hawksbill, laying their eggs along the beaches. The many hatcheries that are operated locally provide a safe haven for these sea turtles. You may visit these hatcheries to have a look at many huge tanks filled with new born turtles who, once grown, are released to the sea.

Proceed from Kosgoda to Colombo (02 hours)

Enjoy a City & Shopping tour in Colombo

Colombo is the trade capital of Sri Lanka, and it is a city that has undergone rapid changes. While most old buildings have been replaced by new apartments and office buildings, some parts of the city yet retains its old charm. The 100 year old clock tower with lighthouse built by the British and some colonial buildings remain examples. Colombo International Financial City (Port City) which is under constructions, Independence Square, Nelum Pokuna, BMICH and Pettah Bazaar are also bringing value to Colombo City. You will also provide to experience ample entertainment in terms of nightlife activities as well as shopping experience you would never forget.
